The mascot Ludo unveiled during the workshop with sponsors
The EuroRoma 2024 Foundation, which is organising the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships, dedicated a day to the commercial partners of the event scheduled from 7 to 12 June. Today, during the workshop at the Foro Italico Park in Rome, the event organisers and sponsors discussed about business opportunities, the latest trends in marketing, communication, sustainability and tech applied to sport.
The lineup of sponsors activated by the EuroRoma 2024 Foundation, in collaboration with marketing advisor DAO, already includes leading national and international companies. In addition to the sponsors of European Athletics – the Official Partners Spar, Euroins, Le Gruyère, Toyo Tires, Würth MODYF, the Preferred Suppliers Conica and Polanik and the Broadcaster Partner EBU\Eurovision – the Official Partners Unicredit, Fastweb, Frecciarossa and Official Suppliers Uliveto, Toyota, Net Integrators, Karhu, Humangest and XMetaReal.
The integrated communication plan will also be strengthened by the partnership with Italian national newspapers Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, which will guarantee media and editorial coverage until the end of the Championships.
The sponsors participated in the workshop, bringing their contributions, sharing their experiences, encouraging network activities and new collaborations.
Stefano Mei, president of FIDAL and the EuroRoma 2024 Foundation send a message to the sponsor from Glasgow, where the World Athletics Indoor Championships began today. “I hope it is a pleasant and fruitful workshop. I promise that we will have a wonderful experience next June in Rome. I want to express my gratitude for your partnership, friendship and your support for the success of the event,’ said Mei.
During the visit organised inside the Olympic Stadium and other areas of the Foro Italico Park, there was an unexpected surprise for the sponsors: the unveiling of the official Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships mascot. Ludo – the name of the mascot chosen by the users on the official social media accounts – has been presented for the first time.
During the event, Ludo will entertain athletics fans in the Fan Village to be set up in the Foro Italico Park. In addition, a Corporate Hospitality service will be provided and sponsors have the opportunity to book VIP Tickets and reserved boxes, including catering and reception services.
