The national and international promotion campaign for the Rome 2024 European Athletics Championships begins in Grosseto and passes through Budapest. The Italian Junior Athletics Championships, scheduled from today until Sunday, July 23, in Grosseto, represent the first stage in a run-up to next summer’s big event: from June 7 to 12, 2024, Europe’s best athletes will compete at the Olympic Stadium, Foro Italico Park and among the streets of Rome, a month and a half before the start of the Paris Olympics. The Rome 2024 brand will be present within the spaces made available by organizers of other sporting events, athletics and otherwise, to bring and engage as many fans as possible to the European Championships.
In anticipation of the opening of ticket sales, gadgets with the Rome 2024 logo were distributed to the attending public in Grosseto. The campaign will continue at major athletic events organized by Fidal. After the Italian Junior Championships, it will be the turn of the Absolute National Track and Field Championships, scheduled for July 28-30 in Molfetta.
Next, the promotion of Rome 2024 will cross national borders and stop in Budapest, where the World Championships will be held from August 19 to 27. On that occasion, Rome 2024 will have its own dedicated “corner” inside the “Casa Atletica Italiana” set up by Fidal, which will serve as the headquarters of the Italian national team and its partners during the World Championships. At the end of the Budapest event, the great European champions will meet in Rome, which will be the final testing ground for the athletes ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris. Athletics and more.
Rome 2024 will also be present at the “Milano Greenvillage23” that will be set up inside the Snai San Siro Hippodrome during the big equestrian event, the European Show Jumping – FEI Jumping European Championship Milano 2023 – scheduled from August 30 to September 3. Inside Greenvillage23 the public can try their hand at various sports activities, including athletics.
